Know exactly who you’re dealing with

Coast 2 Coast Equity is the home-buying arm of C&C Holding Group LLC, a Gary, Indiana real estate investment company. That is the name that will appear on your purchase agreement and at the closing table, so you should see it here first.

We buy distressed single-family homes, renovate them, and either hold them as long-term rentals or resell them to owner-occupants. That is the entire business. We are not a marketing company that resells your information, and we are not an out-of-state fund pricing your house by algorithm.

Most of what we buy is brick — bungalows, Cape Cods, and ranches built between the 1920s and the 1960s, the housing Gary has in abundance. We pull permits, we bring the work up to code, and we put families in these houses. It costs more to do it that way. It is also why our renovations appraise.

What we put in writing

Three things most cash buyers will not tell you, and we will:

• Who we are.Our legal entity, on the website and on the contract. Look us up in the county records before you call.
• How we got to your number.The comparable sales we used and our repair estimate, itemized. If a comp looks wrong to you, tell us and we will run it again.
• What we make on the deal.We are a business and we take the renovation risk. You should be able to see that figure and decide whether the trade is worth it to you.

What you can expect from us

• A real person walks your house.The same person who makes the offer.
• No re-trade.The number in the contract is the number at closing.
• An honest no.If listing with an agent would net you more, we will say so and tell you why.
• No pressure to decide.Take the offer to an agent, an attorney, or your family. It will still be there.
